My Fellow CTE Professionals – Good Morning and Happy Summer,
I wanted all of you to know that tomorrow, June 29th at 4:01 my status as your full time CTE Regional Coordinator changes. I will be semi-retired for the first time in my professional life. Exciting news for me but what does it mean for you?
Well, I will be on total vacation for July and August – YES! MWEC staff will be available to you over the summer to answer questions.
And, because I care for you and like my job, I am planning on coming back in the fall part-time. MWEC is in the process of hiring my replacement and I will come back to assist the new R.C. We are not sure how we will divide the work up yet, but promise to be clear in the fall so you feel supported.
Throughout my long, long career in education I have always had a soft spot in my heart for CTE teachers. I will always be your biggest fan. Hopefully you have felt the love the last three years. Thank you for all your hard work, rest up this summer and I will see you in the fall.
Best wishes to each one of you. Sheila
Summer is upon us and there are some great opportunities to learn and hone our skills. Check out our calendar and events page for the latest list of workshops.
According to statistics from Women in Aviation International only 10 percent of pilots in the United States are female. 20 year old Taylor Thompson is one of the few, and feels right at home in the cockpit.
